Putting Pen To Paper

Gentle reader,

I’ve been pondering posts I can do that don’t require a camera, and Robbie over at Knitxcore must have unwittingly read my mind, because he posted this handwriting meme which seemed like a fun thing to do. So, here ’tis!

Green pen!
1. What is your name
2. Blog URL
3. Write: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
4. Favorite quote
5. Favorite song (at the moment)
6. Favorite band/singers (at the moment)
7. Say anything you want
8. Tag 3-5 bloggers

I’ve always been really fussy about my handwriting, which is not to say this is terribly neat, but I can’t write crazy fast. The moment I try to write something quickly, it just explodes into an incomprehensible mess. It made taking notes at school and college a bit of a production, I’ll tell you that much.

Here are the peeps I tagged; go check ’em out, they’re lovely:

Tony at BonitoClub
Katie & Reuben at House of Humble
Stacey at Veggie Mama
Sian at Sian Lile Makes
Laura at Kit & Nancy

I occasionally love to write letters or notecards, there’s something special about handwritten notes. Do you like your handwriting? Do you write with pen and paper very often? If you do this meme, comment with a linkie!

  1. Aw, thank you for tagging us! YOU are lovely. And totally agree about the specialness of a hand written note. There is nothing better! We will try to give this little meme a go over the weekend! x

  2. Aww, and thank you so much for tagging me among those lovely people! Your handwriting is beautiful… my handwriting turns into a terrible mess when I rush too, so I try to write more slowly. I only know one Utada Hikaru song “boku wa kuma”. Our doggie Kuma is sort of named after the bear in the video.

Like Katie, I’m going to give this meme a go as soon as I can find some paper!

ps… What does your Japanese handwriting look like??

    • I love Boku Wa Kuma! It’s such a cute song. I’ll have to make you an Utada mix tape, perhaps? ^_^

Oooh, my Japanese handwriting isn’t as neat, though I try! I might post some later, perhaps on FB.

  3. Oh my.. This is the perfect little project for me. I spend far too much time obsessing over my handwriting, even while taking notes in class! I get pretty nutty about it!
